Before a child begins to write, he/she needs to learn how to hold a pencil and for
this purpose, Pegging Exercise is done by the children. At the second stage, scribbling
is introduced to the young learners, thereby giving them the concept of moving a
pencil. Then comes the stage of Pre-writing Skills and here green boards are used
to introduce English/Urdu alphabets to the beginners with the help of 10-15 vocabulary
words. Numeric figures and Urdu Letters are introduced in different creative ways.
The stage of Naming, Pronunciation and Recognition of words is equally important
for the young students. Here children learn to write alphabets from A-Z without
dots. The same practice is carried out in Urdu and Numeric Digits. We give the initial
concept of Units, Tens and Hundreds from the very beginning. In Prep Class, children
start learning the art of calligraphy and the use of is, am, has and have. At the
end of the academic year, children have a clear concept of nouns, verbs and vowels
and they are fully capable of writing sentences on any object.
